Join us for a free online workshop to receive 3 hours of expert instruction and practical hands-on exercises to familiarize you with the new STM32H7R and STM32H7S microcontrollers. As the fastest MCUs equipped with a Cortex-M7 CPU core running at 600 MHz, you'll discover how these cost-effective “boot-flash” MCUs can greatly enhance the performance of Industry 4.0 and smart home applications.
The STM32H7R/S MCUs embed a 2.5D NeoChrom GPU for the development of sophisticated GUIs that can operate smoothly at 60 FPS with WXGA resolution. This makes it possible to run MPU-like applications on an economical real-time MCU. The product line supports high speed external memory interfaces with XiP and is offered in multiple packages, and targets PSA and SESIP3 certifications, including on-the-fly decrypt and encrypt from external memories (MCE), secure boot, and life cycle management.
These product capabilities will be covered in detail, along with architecture, peripherals, and modes of operation.
Our team of STM32 specialists will demonstrate each exercise using an STM32 NUCLEO-H7S3L8 development board. The board is optional for attendees, but if you wish to follow along with the hands-on exercises you can purchase the board prior to the workshop from ST or one of our distributors (see Prerequisites).
This workshop will combine lecture with hands-on instruction. It is self-paced and can be accessed on-demand any time after the start of the selected session. However, note that live technical support (via online break-out rooms) is available only during the scheduled session hours.
Attendees should have a working knowledge of embedded development. Those who have the NUCLEO-H7S3L8 development board should be prepared to dedicate approximately one hour prior to the workshop to downloading and installing the tools.
To actively participate in the workshop exercises, you will need the following:
The STM32U083C-DK Discovery kit is a complete demonstration and development platform for the STM32U083MCT6 microcontroller. It is used as a reference design for application development before porting to the final product.
The full range of hardware features on the board helps the user to evaluate all the peripherals (USB FS device, segment LCD, touchkey, temperature sensor, and others) and to develop applications. The ARDUINO® Uno V3, mikroBUS™, and extension connectors provide easy connection to extension shields or daughterboards for specific applications.
The STM32U083C-DK Discovery kit does not require any separate probe as it integrates the STLINK-V2EC debugger/programmer. It is operated by plugging it into a PC through a standard USB Type-A or USB Type-C® to USB Type-C® cable.
