Join us for a 1-hour webinar to understand how to leverage Hybrid communication using PLC and RF technologies. You will learn how to seamlessly implement an efficient, cost-effective and robust solution in smart industrial infrastructure applications using ST’s comprehensive platform without any required experience in G3-PLC technology.
The G3-PLC Hybrid technology offers a cost-effective, secure, robust, interoperable, independent, and future-ready solution that automatically and dynamically selects the best available wireless or powerline channel at any time, depending on network conditions.
This technology is mainly driven by the G3-PLC Alliance which introduced the G3-PLC Hybrid protocol in 2020. STMicroelectronics is an active member of this alliance, and it has become the first to certify a platform. Thanks to a versatile hardware platform and easy-to-use firmware, the ST ecosystem enables seamless G3-Hybrid integration for a broad field of applications such as Smart Grid, Smart City, Lighting Control, Building Automation, Railway, and more.
Built around our programmable ST8500 multi-protocol PLC modem, STLD1 dual-line driver and the ultra-low-power sub-GHz S2-LP RF transceiver, the evaluation kit comes with a low-cost STM32G070RB host which is easily swappable with any NUCLEO-64 based microcontroller to suite all types of applications. The user-friendly STM32 G3-PLC Hybrid firmware package is based on the STM32Cube environment and FreeRTOS which enables easy porting to any STM32 target and makes it easy to add sensors or new advanced features.
