Designers of digital output modules for PLCs and remote I/O face rising channel counts within the same DIN rail width, with diagnostic reporting expected at every output.
This webinar shows how the ST IPS portfolio supports this shift. Monolithic high-side and low-side devices cover single, dual, quad, and octal configurations, with per-channel current limitation, channel-independent thermal shutdown, case temperature monitoring, and selectable serial or parallel control interfaces. Galvanically isolated variants add a certified barrier between the logic and process sides. Devices rated to 60 V give designers transient headroom on 24 V supplies while staying inside SELV limits, which matters for Safety Integrity Level designs.
We then look at what those capabilities mean on the bench: digital output robustness against IEC 61000-4 burst and surge events, thermal behavior under overload, and how channel-independent restart keeps a module running when a single load faults. The session closes with a live Q&A.
Register now to see how ST intelligent power switches help you design more compact, robust, and diagnosable digital output modules for factory and building automation.
