ST, a global leader in the electronics industry, believes we can make a valuable contribution by inspiring the next generation to explore STEM*-related careers, and that science and technology need more diverse talents and perspectives to create a more sustainable and inclusive future. However, only 35% of STEM students are women around the world, many of them pursuing natural sciences rather than ICT**-related applied sciences.
This is the reason, for the second year in a row, we launch the Break the Bias in STEM operation, two weeks of live events and online seminars organized in some 15 countries where we operate to exchange with students.
Join ST Americas Region and ST Switzerland for a 30-minute webinar on February 23 at 12:30 pm EST to hear from three women with careers in STEM, two engineers at ST and the Chief Technology Officer at Coherent, an American company that develops laser equipment.
*STEM: Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics
**ICT: information communications technology
