Power future micro-grids with ST digital Energy storage system
Speaker: Chill YE, Application Manager

This abstract highlights the advantages of Silicon Carbide (SIC) and Gallium Nitride (GaN) in powering up innovation. SIC and GaN are wide-bandgap semiconductors that offer significant benefits over traditional silicon-based technology. SIC has proven to increase efficiency and power density while reducing circuitry size, making it popular in industrial applications such as solar inverters, data centres and charging stations. SIC also offers key advantages in large-scale solar farms by reducing total cost of ownership by 20% and increasing power efficiency by 50%. Overall, SIC and GaN have the potential to revolutionize the power industry with their superior performance and efficiency.
